Bensalem police were called to the school, 4319 Hulmeville Road, on April 25 after administrators learned that a "photograph of a gun" was being shared "via cell phone," they wrote in a release.
Upon investigation, police learned that no gun was displayed or found on campus and determined there was "no active threat," the department said. Students were not dismissed, police noted, though authorities remained on the scene.
"Do not go to the high school to pick up your children," read a message on the Bensalem Township School District website Tuesday morning. "They are safe."
